The unit at Goose River, Waldoboro, Maine 2004.
Col. Joe Pereira (6th Regt. ANV) sitting in with us

The early unit wore the basic Tuscaloosa Grey shell Jackets with light blue trim by Jarnigins in the 1990's. The official trouser color was sky blue.  Headgear was restricted to two tone kepis.  Over the years the uniform have changed to greyish brown Columus Depot Jacket with only a medium blue collar.  The trousers were opened to anything period.  Headgear was limited to the kepi, forage cap or Slouch in any color but black.
We are looking at appointing a Quartermaster to help folks obtain the correct items as we are attempting to get every one uniformed a like.   The unit is basically still using the columbus depot jackets.
We are also looking into making the short lived uniforms of the Thomasville Zouaves for parades special events.

The unit is admininstered by a Board of Directors, who run most of the business aspect of the unit.  Major decisions are brought to the membership for a vote.

The Living history side of the group is lead in a semi-military structure style of leadership.  The commanding officer is the Chief Operating Officer and is assisted by a chain of command appointed with the blessing of the unit.  The civilian side is under the commanding officer but is sub-governered by a Civilian coordinator. The Civilian usually have the option to camp with the military or in a civilian camp.
